Job summary

Wyatt Field Service Company is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead estimating for complex power and industrial construction projects in Greer, SC. This role oversees Lump Sum, Fixed Fee, and Time & Material estimates, driving profitability and successful execution.

The candidate will develop bid strategies, evaluate opportunities, and mentor an estimator team while collaborating with purchasing, operations, and project leadership to ensure accurate, competitive quotes and strong

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of construction estimating or construction management experience.
Significant experience estimating industrial and/or power construction projects.
Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring an estimating team.
Strong hands-on estimating with complex scope evaluation across contract types.
Experience reviewing contracts, specifications, drawings, scopes, and risks.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage estimating activities to produce accurate, competitive, and timely project estimates.
Review and approve final estimate packages before formal quotation, ensuring alignment with scope.
Develop estimating and bid strategies to support regional growth and profitability.
Evaluate opportunities and provide recommendations on pursuit and bidding decisions.
Lead, coach, train, and mentor estimators and assign work by experience and workload.
Develop and improve estimating procedures, templates, pricing tools, and cost databases.
Perform labor analysis, cost modeling, pricing, forecasting, and scope development.
Collaborate with purchasing, PM, operations, and vendors for current pricing.
Support proposal development, client presentations, contract negotiations, and change orders.
Monitor financial performance of awarded projects and apply lessons learned.
