Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of construction estimating or construction management experience.
• Significant experience estimating projects within industrial and/or power construction environments.
• Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring an estimating team.
• Hands-on estimating background; not solely planning/scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage estimating activities to produce accurate, competitive, and timely project estimates.
• Review and approve final estimate packages before formal quotation; ensure alignment with scope.
• Develop estimating and bid strategies supporting regional growth and profitability.
• Evaluate project opportunities and provide recommendations on pursuit and bidding.
• Lead, coach, train, and mentor estimators; assign work by experience and development needs.
• Develop and improve estimating procedures, templates, pricing tools, and databases.
• Perform labor analysis, cost modeling, pricing, forecasting, and scope development.
• Analyze historical performance and market conditions to improve accuracy.
• Partner with purchasing, project management, operations, and vendors for current pricing and quality.
• Support proposal development, client presentations, contract negotiations, and change-order pricing.
• Monitor financial performance of awarded projects and apply lessons learned.
• Ensure safety, environmental responsibility, and contractual compliance in estimating activities.
• Build relationships with clients, vendors, and executives.
• Travel as needed for bids and client meetings.
