Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an experienced ESH professional to implement corporate, field, and office safety policies across multiple sites in the McAdoo, PA area. You will lead safety programs, review regulatory requirements, and drive incident prevention initiatives with project teams.

Requirements include 7+ years of ESH experience and knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. CCIP experience and Spanish language ability are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field.
• 7+ years of ESH experience required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
• Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA.
• Previous CCIP experience preferred.
• Basic Spanish language communication preferred.
• Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices.
• Skilled communicator—verbal and written presentations.

Responsibilities

• Champion “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external partners, and customers.
• Ensure “Constructing with Integrity” by upholding honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
• Manage safety programs on all assigned projects, including CCIP and other complex risk management initiatives.
• Provide regulatory and policy review, interpretation, and technical guidance.
• Monitor workers’ compensation issues on assigned projects.
• Conduct incident review meetings with project teams and subcontractors to reinforce accident prevention.
• Oversee monthly audit program to ensure compliance and program effectiveness.
• Implement training to support Safety 360 and ensure subcontractor OSHA/MSHA compliance.
• Interface with site leadership and government agencies (OSHA, EPA, MSHA).
