Job summary

Fermi Research Alliance, LLC's Batavia, IL site seeks an ESH Coordinator to join the LBNF/DUNE project for a 3-year term, reporting to the ESH Manager.

You will oversee ESH programs at the Near Site, coordinate with NSCF, Construction Coordinators, and other teams, ensuring compliance with regulations while supporting subcontractors.

The role includes site inspections, audits, incident investigations, and developing contractor assurance programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in ESH or related field with 10+ years of experience; or Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience; or High School diploma with technical certifications and 20 years of applicable experience.
• Fields: managerial, environmental protection, occupational safety, industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Develop, drafts, monitors, and provides document control for the ESH policies, programs and standards and assures compliance with respect to all applicable regulations, requirements and orders.
• Initiate Division/Section specific ESH policies and procedures either to ensure compliance with Laboratory policies or to address specific issues within the Division, Section or Center.
• Act as the ESH and expert or lead person for Division/Section/Center projects and programs.
• Lead in the development of the Division/Section/Center ES&H contractor assurance programs and ensures compliance.
• Abide by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.
