Job summary

Fermilab is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support the LBNF/DUNE project. This onsite role is based in Lead, SD, with duties coordinating receipt and transport of materials to SURF, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with EH&S guidelines.

The position requires at least 1 year in administrative/logistics, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license. Travel to Fermilab in Batavia, IL may be needed, and the role offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a related discipline preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1+ year of experience in an administrative, logistics (transportation/trucking), or inventory management environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing plans and schedules to enhance distribution of materials and supplies underground.
• Maintain customer relations with contractors managing the warehouse, laydown yard, and trucking contracts.
• Coordinate logistics supply from offsite storage to the SURF underground project site, working with installation teams to ensure logistics planning is executed.
• Answer inquiries concerning received materials and provide customer assistance to international and national stakeholders.
• Utilize shipping instruction manuals to advise Consortia members on material preparation and labeling for shipping.
• Verify goods received per packing slip and purchase orders; compare to materials deliveries.
