Job summary

USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union is seeking a Loan Servicing Tax and Escrow Specialist in Chelmsford, MA. This full-time role manages escrow accounts, tax tracking, insurance monitoring, and related loan servicing activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

The position requires 3+ years of real estate tax and escrow experience, CoreLogic proficiency, and strong analytical and communication skills. Hybrid work arrangement offered with 3 in-office days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years' experience paying real estate/property taxes with high-volume disbursements nationwide.
• Proficiency with CoreLogic software for tax/escrow research.
• Experience with Miniter Insurance or similar insurers.
• Expert in annual escrow analysis, including shortages and surpluses.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and monitor escrow accounts for real estate secured loans, including taxes and insurance.
• Process accurate and timely disbursements for taxes, insurance, and escrow obligations.
• Perform escrow analysis, validate projections, and process shortages/refunds per regulations.
• Research property tax information from tax services, municipal sites, and county records.
• Monitor insurance coverage for escrowed and non-escrowed loans; ensure compliance.
• Review exception reports to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Resolve inquiries related to taxes, escrow payments, insurance, shortages, and escrow activity.
• Coordinate with tax service vendors, insurers, municipalities, and lenders for accurate servicing.
• Prepare escrow-related correspondence and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Support mortgage servicing with phone coverage, emails, and service requests.
• Knowledge of Secondary Market/Investor loan servicing (FNMA).
• Identify and escalate compliance or operational issues to management.
• Assist audits and quality control with documentation and explanations of escrow activity.
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-training within the loan servicing team.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information per USAlliance policies.
