Job summary

Oakridge Landscape Inc. is seeking an experienced Erosion / Grading Superintendent to lead erosion control, stormwater compliance, and grading operations across Southern California.

This hands-on leadership role manages multiple crews, coordinates resources, and ensures projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will oversee BMP installations, SWPPP adherence, and collaboration with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in erosion control, stormwater management, landscape construction, or related environmental construction fields.
• 3+ years of supervisory or superintendent-level experience managing multiple crews and projects.
• Strong understanding of erosion and sediment control practices.
• Knowledge of SWPPP requirements, stormwater compliance, and environmental regulations.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project resources.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong client relationship management and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead erosion control, BMP installation, and stormwater compliance on projects.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.
• Visit sites to verify quality and compliance with plans, permits, and regulations.
• Review project specifications, plans, permits, and environmental requirements.
• Identify and resolve challenges to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
• Direct field crews, foremen, and support personnel; provide coaching and mentoring.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and reinforce OSHA standards.
• Serve as primary contact for clients and municipal agencies; build strong relationships.
• Oversee grading operations, earthmoving, and drainage works to meet plans.
