Apex Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent for environmental remediation and civil construction projects in Southern California. Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience across environmental, civil, utility, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading field crews and managing construction activities.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, utility installation, grading, and sequencing.
• Heavy equipment operating experience required.
• Experience estimating labor, equipment, and material needs.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check in compliance with federal regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction crews and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate daily field activities with project managers, engineers, clients, and inspectors.
• Oversee remediation system installations, excavation, grading, underground utilities, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Operate heavy equipment as needed, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and skid steers.
• Prepare daily reports and monitor project progress.
• Provide input on project planning, scheduling, labor requirements, equipment needs, and material procurement.
• Maintain compliance with site-specific safety and environmental requirements.
