Job summary

Blythe Development Co. is seeking a grading superintendent to lead grading crews and coordinate site work across the Carolinas. The role focuses on planning, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring safety and quality on each project.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of grading experience, 5+ years of supervisory work, and proven ability to operate heavy equipment like graders, with the stamina to handle physically demanding tasks on large commercial and residential sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years grading experience in commercial and/or residential settings.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate motor grader and other heavy equipment and lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead grading crews across projects.
• Coordinate construction work according to priorities and plans.
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance and production of crews and subcontractors.
• Schedule material quantities and deliveries; determine trucking needs.
• Ensure safety precautions and quality standards are met.
• Monitor costs to keep projects within budget.
• Prepare progress reports for project management.
• Maintain necessary field permissions and licenses.
