Job summary
Avangrid Power is seeking a high-performing development professional to originate and lead utility-scale solar, wind, and battery projects across ERCOT. This role requires independently creating opportunities, securing site control, navigating stakeholder environments, and driving milestones.
Based in Texas with 50-60% travel, you will report to Senior Director, Development and shape portfolio growth with significant leadership influence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
- 5-7+ years of utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage, infrastructure, transmission, or project development experience.
- Demonstrated success securing site control and advancing projects through key development milestones.
Responsibilities
- Lead origination and development of utility-scale solar, wind, and BESS projects across ERCOT.
- Develop market-based origination strategies and identify high-potential corridors.
- Negotiate leases, purchase options, easements, and complex land agreements.
- Represent Avangrid Power in negotiations with landowners, officials, and regulators.
- Manage permitting, interconnection, commercial strategy, and real estate diligence.
