Job summary

CenterPoint Energy is hiring for a senior role to represent and guide ERCOT market advocacy. You will lead policy strategy, engage stakeholders, and coordinate with legal, operations, and executive leadership to align regulatory actions with enterprise goals.

The role requires a decade of regulatory and policy experience, with strong leadership capabilities and a background in energy markets and transmission planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years in regulatory affairs, public policy or energy markets.
• Experience influencing policy, market design or stakeholder processes.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and engage senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead ERCOT market policy strategy and advocacy efforts.
• Represent the company in ERCOT stakeholder processes and industry groups.
• Direct positions on ERCOT protocols, market rules and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor regulatory affairs professionals and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with Legal, Government Affairs, Operations, Engineering and Planning.
