Job summary

Calibrant Energy is seeking a Director, Regulatory and Policy to lead engagement across ERCOT and Western markets, shaping regulatory strategy and state policy for Texas and the Western US. You will coordinate with ISO/RTO stakeholders, utilities, and regulators to advance Calibrant’s growth and customer solutions.

You will develop positions, analyze regulatory developments, prepare comments and filings, and mentor teams across Market Development, Project Delivery, and Commercial units.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in energy policy or regulatory affairs.
• Experience with ISO/RTO market structures and electricity regulatory frameworks (ERCOT/Western US).
• Ability to communicate complex regulatory matters to executives.
• Proven stakeholder engagement, coalition-building, and advocacy skills.
• Experience with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, regulators, and trade associations.

Responsibilities

• Set regulatory and policy priorities aligned with Calibrant commercial objectives.
• Lead engagement with ISO/RTO market committees, utilities, and stakeholders in ERCOT, WECC, CAISO.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance.
• Represent Calibrant in stakeholder meetings, industry committees, and trade associations.
• Develop business cases, position papers, comments, and regulatory filings as needed.
• Coordinate consultants and external advisors to support regulatory initiatives.
