Job summary

North Carolina State University is hiring a Sr. Enterprise Research Administration Business Analyst to design, implement, and support the ERA platform.

You will collaborate with campus stakeholders and IT partners to deliver reliable, user-focused solutions across multiple ERA modules. The role requires a master's or bachelor's with experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with InfoEd, SDLC, and project management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with two years relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with three years
• Experience with InfoEd software configuration, SDLC processes, project management, and effective communication skills
• Preferred: proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and process flow charting tools such as Visio or Lucidchart

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs and develop functional and technical specifications for the ERA System
• Support multiple ERA modules including Conflict of Interest/Commitment, Animal Care & Use, Human Subjects, Proposal Development, Proposal Tracking, Subrecipient, and Post Award Management
• Design and implement cost-effective business solutions and evaluate emerging technologies for future organizational needs
• Manage project plans throughout the SDLC including requirements gathering, implementation, testing, and post-migration validation
• Coordinate development activities, monitor progress, and collaborate with IT and campus partners to ensure accurate and timely project completion
• Perform business analysis, solution development, regression and performance testing, QA, and technical support
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and assist customers in defining requirements, testing enhancements, and resolving technical/functional issues
