Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking multiple Sponsored Research Administrators (SRA) in Raleigh, NC. This role will manage both pre-award and post-award lifecycles for a departmental faculty portfolio within the COE Office of Research Administration.

You will work embedded in a department while aligning with centralized ORA standards, ensuring compliance and efficient grant administration. The position requires proven university research administration experience, strong Excel skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience in university research administration for pre-award and post-award work.
• Ability to work in a matrixed, shared-services operating model.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-award proposal development and post-award financial management for a faculty portfolio.
• Collaborate with PIs to develop accurate, compliant budgets and justifications.
• Ensure compliance with F&A, CAS, Uniform Guidance, state rules, and university policies.
• Utilize RED Proposal Development and eRA tools for submissions.
• Balance localized portfolio needs with central governance under deadlines.
