Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring an Equipment Technician to support manufacturing and systems operations. You will collaborate with engineers and production for setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance of memory and logic devices.

You will collect data, adjust processes, and help document procedures while adhering to health, safety, and environmental guidelines. The role requires cleanroom work, PPE usage, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent military experience with electronics focus or 3+ years in semiconductor/high-volume manufacturing.
• Preferred: 300mm Cleans (Wet Etch) experience.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, planning and execution of action plans.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled and corrective maintenance according to SOPs.
• Respond to equipment faults and perform root-cause analysis.
• Analyze data and verify quality metrics.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate status during shifts.
• Operate safely in a cleanroom and wear PPE.
• Carry out maintenance tasks while wearing PPE.
• Work hours: D Shift – Wed-Fri 6:45pm–7:15am with alternating Saturdays.
