Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is hiring a Process Technician to support manufacturing and system operations for memory chips and logic. You will collaborate with engineers and production teams on set-up, calibration, maintenance, failure analysis, and quality testing, while following SOPs and safety guidelines.

This full-time, on-site role in Austin, TX offers a base salary with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to in-line process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certification; experienced Pharmacy Tech, Dental Assistant, or other medical technologist.
• Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience in continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment.
• Familiar with TPM concepts.
• Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
• Ability to work off-hours if necessary.
• Electro-mechanical aptitude, basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity.

Responsibilities

• Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
• Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
• Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
• Teamwork and Communication: Able to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization.
