Job summary

L-H Battery Company, Inc. in Jeffersonville, Ohio, a LGES-Honda joint venture, seeks a Sr Equipment Engineer to drive reliability and performance of EV battery manufacturing equipment.

You will mentor maintenance engineers and technicians, establish PM standards, EMS governance, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver stable, efficient production. Responsibilities include leading engineering leadership, process improvement, data analytics, capital project management, and ongoing technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6-8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of total relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technicians through structured training, mentoring, and technical knowledge sharing to build long-term organizational capability.
• Own the maintenance engineering strategy, including PM/BM standardization, EMS governance, and work order execution effectiveness.
• Analyze downtime history, EMS trends, and FDC data to identify root causes and implement preventive countermeasures.
• Review daily performance reports to identify SQD risks, improvement opportunities, and countermeasures.
• Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, including scope definition, schedule, budget, and resource planning.
