Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a capable operator to run heavy construction equipment for road maintenance, trenching and material handling on-site in Texas. The role requires caution, stamina, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

You will load, grade, and spread materials, inspect equipment, and assist in training others to operate safely. This full-time position involves variable hours and exposure to outdoor conditions on industrial sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand and transmit written and oral instructions clearly.
• Proficient in safe use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate various vehicles and heavy equipment to maintain roads and rights-of-way.
• Load and grade materials, spread rock and gravel to create smooth surfaces.
• Construct and trench for culverts and pipes; manage debris and silt.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication on equipment.
• Instruct and train workers on safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify defects and causes of issues.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and resources required for tasks.
• Ensure subcontractor work complies with plans and specifications.
