Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior field experience a plus.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Strong communication with supervision.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment to maintain and repair roads and rights-of-way.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; grade roads and spread materials.
• Trench and install culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check and maintain fluid levels and lubrication.
• Instruct and train workers in safe operation of equipment and techniques.
• Inspect equipment and identify defects.
