Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled equipment operator to work on power construction sites in the United States. You will operate a variety of vehicles and heavy machinery, perform routine maintenance, and assist with grading, loading, and trenching activities.

The role requires reading and following project plans, maintaining safety standards, and potentially training colleagues in proper equipment use. Overtime and outdoor work in all weather conditions are common on this site.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand and communicate instructions effectively with supervision.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of tools and measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate power construction equipment to excavate, move and grade material.
• Load gravel, dirt and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Check fluid levels and perform routine lubrication and maintenance.
• May train others in safe operation and job techniques.
• Inspect equipment and materials for defects and compliance with plans.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, costs, and resources needed.
• Review subordinate work for contract compliance and take corrective action.
