Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks an experienced Equipment Operator (Intermediate) to perform road maintenance and operate a range of heavy equipment on rights-of-way. You will load materials, grade surfaces, and assist with trenching and ditch construction.

You must read and follow written and oral instructions, communicate with supervision, and handle hand and power tools safely. Expect outdoor work, long hours, and potential overtime in a demanding construction environment.

Qualifications

HS diploma or equivalent or related experience.
Must possess working knowledge and abilities for position.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles and heavy equipment to perform road maintenance and repairs on rights-of-way.
Load gravel, dirt and sand; grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
Trench and construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
Check and maintain fluid levels, lubrication and general machine safety.
May train employees in safe operation of equipment and techniques.
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify issues.
