Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Texas is seeking a skilled equipment operator to perform maintenance and operate power construction equipment to excavate, load, haul and grade materials. You will ensure safe operation, follow instructions, and inspect equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
Strong working knowledge and abilities for the position.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles and heavy equipment while performing road maintenance and repairs.
Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
Trench and construct ditches for culverts and pipes; remove silt and debris.
Check fluid levels and perform lubrication on equipment.
Train others in safe operation of equipment and job techniques as needed.
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify defects and causes.
