William Charles Construction, part of MasTec, seeks a Mobilization Supervisor to lead the Equipment Department ensuring safe, efficient service and on-time maintenance of company equipment and vehicles. Based in Rockford, IL, travel to job sites/vendors ~15% of the time is required.

The role emphasizes adherence to manufacturer guidelines, cost discipline, and strong leadership to build an effective team across field and shop operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Equipment Service Management or Business Management preferred; combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing heavy equipment in construction or dealership environments.
• Valid state-issued Driver’s License with driving record meeting risk guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Develops and enforces best practices within the Equipment Department to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identifies resources, assigns workloads, and manages schedules to ensure timely delivery of service work.
• Monitors field and shop service repairs and closes work orders promptly.
• Manages and dispatches field/shop mechanics based on priority, location, and skillset.
• Ensures work complies with manufacturer standards and company policies.
• Reviews vendor quotes, estimates for services, tools, parts, and supplies.
• Reviews invoices for accuracy and disputes discrepancies.
• Applies knowledge to warranty items and warranty repairs.
• Ensures fleet equipment availability.
• Keeps up with new equipment management technologies.
• Maintains safety compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations including DOT, OSHA, MSHA.
• Monitors inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies.
• Maintains vendor list and quality of service.
