Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Project Manager to lead transportation electrical infrastructure projects across Illinois, including traffic signals, street lighting, ITS, substations, and distribution systems. This onsite role based in Rockford, IL includes relocation assistance.

You will coordinate safety programs, manage costs and schedules, review contracts and permits, and oversee field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years PM experience on electrical transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with safety to ensure safety programs are established and executed
• Financial monitoring and reporting including cost projections, change orders, and invoicing
• Coordinate with project superintendents on equipment, personnel and schedules
• Maintain cost accounting, change order logs, and communication logs
• Submit quarterly cost-to-complete projections
• Weekly quantities reported in ViewPoint
• Coordinate equipment acquisitions and subcontract costs
• Review subcontractor scope and schedule
• Pre-construction planning and permits procurement
• Project documentation and closeout activities
• Build relationships in local marketplaces
