William Charles Construction, a MasTec company, is seeking a Mobilization Supervisor to lead the Equipment Department’s service operations. Based in Rockford, IL, you will ensure equipment is serviced per manufacturer guidelines, safely, efficiently, and within budget, with about 15% travel to job sites and vendors.

You will manage field and shop mechanics, enforce best practices, monitor work orders, and coordinate quotes and warranties to keep fleet availability high.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience servicing heavy equipment in construction or dealership environments
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsabilités

• Develops and enforces best practices within the Equipment Department to ensure efficiency
• Allocates resources, assigns workloads, and manages schedules for timely service delivery
• Monitors field and shop service repairs and closes work orders promptly
• Dispatches field/shop mechanics based on priority, location, and skill
• Ensures work adheres to manufacturer standards and company policies
• Reviews vendor quotes and estimates for services, tools, parts, and supplies
• Audits invoices for accuracy and resolves discrepancies
• Coordinates warranty repairs and warranty item handling
• Maintains fleet equipment availability and applies new technologies as relevant
• Maintains safety compliance with DOT, OSHA, MSHA and other regulations
• Manages inventory levels of parts, tools, and supplies
• Develops and maintains vendor list and evaluates service quality
• Performs other duties as assigned
