Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, is seeking a Project Manager to lead transportation electrical infrastructure projects across Illinois, including traffic signals, street lighting, ITS, substations, and distribution systems. The onsite role is based in Rockford, with relocation assistance and possible company vehicle or allowance and annual incentive.

Responsibilities include leading safety programs, cost monitoring, scheduling, procurement, permits, and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 2 years of industry experience, overseeing multiple projects as a Project Manager for electrical transportation work.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs with project team.
• Finance: cost monitoring, revenue projections, invoicing review.
• Coordinate with superintendents on equipment, personnel, schedules.
• Maintain cost accounting and change order logs.
• Prepare quarterly cost-to-complete projections.
• Oversee contract review and procurement of permits.
• Manage project documentation and closeout activities.
