Zusammenfassung

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (State of Nevada) seeks an Equipment Mechanic III to diagnose, repair, and overhaul a wide range of fleet equipment including light to heavy vehicles, with a focus on preventive maintenance.

You will inspect using diagnostic tools, perform brake, steering, transmission repairs, and fabricate parts as needed, while documenting service activities and adhering to EPA safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an automotive/equipment repair apprenticeship followed by journey-level experience.
• One year of Equipment Mechanic II in Nevada State Service or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Aufgaben

• Determine cause of component or system failure using tests, diagnostic tools, and manuals.
• Order parts and complete purchase requisitions.
• Repair and rebuild brake systems, steering, and suspension components.
• Repair/differentiate drive-line components and transmissions.
• Maintain and repair electrical and wiring systems, batteries, and related components.
• Fabricate/install parts and supervise others as needed.
