Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on process and facility equipment. The role provides 24/7 maintenance support, troubleshooting, repair, and improvement of systems, with emphasis on GMP/PSM compliance and safety standards.

The technician will diagnose PLC-controlled equipment, calibrate instruments, and document work in CMMS. Strong knowledge of maintenance tools and two or more skilled maintenance functions is preferred.

Qualifications

Requires formal education or training in maintenance; HS diploma with experience or technical degree.
Proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
Knowledge of advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive and demand maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and process equipment.
Supports reliability-centered maintenance and predictive maintenance activities.
Maintains GMP/PSM compliance and documents activities.
Provides maintenance support for investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Follows EHS procedures and participates in safety training.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots PLC-controlled equipment to minimize downtime.
Calibrates field instrumentation and documents work in CMMS (e.g., Maximo).
Responds to emergency maintenance requests on off-shifts.
