Job summary

Medtronic in Eatontown, New Jersey, is hiring for a 2nd shift maintenance technician responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing medical device manufacturing equipment. You will work with engineers and production teams to maximize equipment performance while upholding quality, safety, and compliance standards.

The role requires troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and control systems, using CMMS for record-keeping, and supporting equipment upgrades and process

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years' related maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment used in medical device production.
• Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and repair or replace components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot machine controllers, PLCs, robotics, electrical systems, pumps, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment history in CMMS and logs.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams for upgrades and reliability initiatives.
• Support equipment installations, commissioning, validations, and continuous improvement projects.
• Estimate labor, materials, and equipment needs for maintenance projects.
