Job summary

BW Design Group in Dallas is seeking a Controls Engineer III (EPMS) to lead instrumentation and controls for AI-driven data centers in Abilene and Haskell, TX. You will deploy BMS/EPMS, calibrate instruments, configure protocols, and oversee on-site commissioning and integration of critical infrastructure.

The role requires strong communication, 75% onsite time, and willingness to travel or relocate near the sites; Ignition deployment experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience starting up control systems with significant onsite time.
• Ability to spend 75% of time onsite and travel up to 100% or relocate near site.
• Strong communicator and ability/desire to work within large teams.
• Experience with BMS and EPMS commissioning is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deploy EPMS and BMS for multiple greenfield data centers.
• Receive designs from the design team and deploy at each site.
• Perform point-to-point checkout of thousands of devices.
• Configure communication protocols for various equipment including switchgear and breakers.
• Configure and calibrate instruments (meters, VFDs, flow meters).
• Deploy and commission Ignition applications.
• Lead and guide Design Group subcontractors onsite.
