Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Systems Management Analyst focused on Epic Cadence and Referrals to partner with clinical and operational leadership to design, optimize, and maintain patient scheduling and referral workflows.

You will lead template optimization, manage system build, and align referral operations with scheduling access to reduce delays in care and improve patient access across primary and specialty settings. Telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. is supported.

Qualifications

• Epic Cadence certification is required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience with Epic Cadence, including scheduling template design and access optimization.
• 3+ years partnering with clinical/operational leaders to align scheduling and referral workflows with access goals.
• 3+ years of experience with referral workflows and their integration with scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Epic Cadence scheduling templates to improve access and align with care delivery goals.
• Prioritize multiple scheduling optimization requests across specialties and primary care.
• Translate access objectives into sustainable, standardized scheduling templates and workflows.
• Maintain and enhance scheduling builds (visit types, blocks, rules) for consistency and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to reduce variation and manual workarounds in scheduling processes.
• Support stakeholders with issue resolution and best practices in Cadence Access and referral workflows.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
