Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Applications IT analyst to design, implement, and support Epic-based solutions for clinical service lines. You will collaborate with business units and IT to translate requirements into effective workflows and interfaces, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.

The role requires EPIC experience, strong project management, and the ability to work remotely from approved US states.

Qualifications

• Obtains within 6 months and maintains EPIC certification as required by department
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field
• Typically requires 5 years IT/clinical experience with business process mapping and requirements gathering
• Proficient in using EPIC and related applications, OS and databases
• Proficient at specifying user requirements and documenting needs and procedures
• Strong project management skills with ability to use project management software
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented and set priorities
• Ability to handle customer contacts and work with healthcare users, vendors, and technical professionals
• Demonstrated understanding of technical components and how they relate to applications
• Must be able to sit up to 80% of each workday and perform fine hand manipulation
• Travel and weather exposure may be required
• Exposed to normal office environment
• Must operate all equipment necessary to perform the duties of the job

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops technical and non-technical solutions for moderate to complex business needs
• Assists with conversion and operational support planning for multiple projects
• Manages training when applicable
• Identifies impact of requirements on multiple applications including Epic and 3rd party apps
• Communicates with users about complex requirements and provides training and support
• Acts as liaison between business and IT to meet user needs
• Evaluates vendor offerings and maintains software capabilities and data integrity
• Analyzes operations to identify automation opportunities and prepare plans and budgets
• Coordinates all aspects of system development, implementation, operation and maintenance
