Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced IT Analyst to design and support Epic-based solutions, coordinating with clinical service lines and IT teams. The role involves gathering requirements, troubleshooting, and driving improvements across Epic and third-party integrations.

The position supports remote work from select states, with potential after-hours go-live activities and on-call involvement as needed. A strong background in healthcare IT and project management is essential.

Qualifications

• EPIC certification within 6 months of employment is required.
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or related field.
• Typically 5 years in IT or clinical environment with process mapping and requirements
• Proficient in EPIC and related applications and databases
• Proficient at defining user requirements and communicating with technical and clinical teams
• Strong project management skills and independent work style
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Able to sit up to 80% of workday and perform fine manual tasks
• Must be able to work with multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and clinical operations to identify automation opportunities.
• Prepare project plans, scope, resources and schedules within budget.
• Coordinate design, development, testing and maintenance of applications.
• Serve as liaison between clinical/service lines, business units and IT.
• Evaluate vendor offerings and maintain data integrity across systems.
• Provide training planning and user support for Epic and related tools
• Ensure maximum system availability and performance.
• Communicate complex requirements and status to users and teams.
