Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an IT Analyst to design and implement solutions across Epic and related health IT systems. You will work with clinicians and IT staff to gather requirements, map processes, and deliver compliant, scalable applications that support patient care workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Epic systems and related healthcare software.
• Experience mapping business requirements to IT solutions in healthcare.
• Strong ability to document user needs and create specifications.

Responsibilities

• Designs and develops technical and/or non-technical solutions to moderate to complex business needs and changes by gathering, compiling and reviewing information and data, examining and evaluating existing systems and procedures, identifying alternate courses of action, developing tools and/or improvements using existing software packages and coordinating the development and implementation of new functionality and new applications with user and Information Technology staff.
• Assists with conversion and operational support planning activities and tasks of multiple simultaneous projects. Manage training when applicable.
• Identifies how requirements and designs will affect multiple application areas (including Epic and all 3rd party applications) and recommends solutions for those areas to comply with strategic direction. Acts independently, fully understanding client business requirements, offers effective alternatives and works as an integration point to ensure multiple design teams are not in conflict.
