Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Houston, TX seeks a Sr. Scheduler to lead on-site scheduling, develop Primavera P6 schedules, and apply earned value measurement for EPC projects.

The role requires coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure detailed planning and timely execution. You will prepare progress reports and construct detailed construction schedules, with occasional home office visits and travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of major project scheduling experience with Primavera P6, including EPC planning.
• Extensive experience with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management for progress measurement.
• Thorough understanding of process systems, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and scheduling implications.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• 4-year college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 across EPC activities.
• Create and maintain schedule reports and progress analyses for weekly/monthly review.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to assemble scheduling data.
• Lead scheduling interfaces with subcontractors and vendors as needed.
• Provide supervision and on-the-job training to junior schedulers and clerical staff.
