Job summary

The Perry Group, a CDM Smith company, is seeking an experienced Design-Build/EPC Project Manager with substantial experience in heavy industrial power and power plants.

You will lead project definitions, schedules, budgets, and client communications, ensure profitability, and coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and regulators to deliver on time and within scope. Strong leadership and financial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 13+ years of relevant work experience.
• PMP, CCM or DBIA certification within 12 months of hire or promotion onto the Approved Project Manager list

Responsibilities

• Creates project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for projects.
• Prepares detailed statements of work with budgets and gains concurrence from stakeholders.
• Manages project costs and profitability.
• Creates and reviews client billings and ensures timely payments; approves subcontractor invoices.
• Monitors project status and escalates risks as needed.
• Coordinates submittals with agencies; manages change using change protocols.
• Communicates deadlines and assigns tasks to project teams.
• Prepares overall project schedule and in-house budgets by group responsibility.
• Facilitates internal and external meetings and supports engineering in code reviews.
• Mentors less experienced Project Managers.
