Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager in Boise, ID to support EPC Project/Program management for power and industrial projects. You will lead safety, engineering, procurement, and construction activities, while managing client relations and contract administration.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 13 years of PM experience in construction, with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, construction management, engineering, program management or related field and 13 years relevant project management experience in the construction industry required.
• Capable of executing projects and achieving company certification as an EPC Project Manager and/or Program Manager required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, and overtime on short notice.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work collaboratively with owners, contractors, engineers and designers on multi-disciplined teams.
• Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and promote safety performance on the project team.
• Provide leadership across safety, quality, engineering, procurement, construction and public relations.
• Develop and manage client relationships and interface on proposals and projects.
• Lead risk reviews and consult with Legal as required.
• Review and negotiate prime contracts, subcontracts and change orders.
• Implement the Project Execution Plan and related QA, safety, and staffing plans.
• Analyze design changes, drawings and specifications for compliance.
• Oversee site mobilization/demobilization and support Site Manager.
• Communicate project status, risks, schedule and costs to stakeholders.
• Lead RFP/bid processes, prepare scope documents, and qualify/subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage downstream contract administration including RFIs, submittals and change control.
• Produce project reports for executive management.
• Oversee invoicing, commissioning, startup, and closeout activities.
