Job summary

Santa Barbara Infrared Inc is seeking a Senior Manager for EO/IR Systems Engineering to define, design, and analyze electro-optical test systems as part of core product development. You will lead a team of Systems Engineers and report to the CTO, driving integration, characterization, and validation efforts.

The role requires strong hands-on EO/IR experience, expertise in requirements management, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on EO/IR system development experience in a production environment.
• Experience with requirements and specification development and management of RVTs.
• Experience in two of: system design and architecture, system analysis (image/sensor budgeting), or system integration and test.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and analyze electro-optical test systems as part of SBIR's product development.
• Lead a team of Systems Engineers and mentor junior staff.
• Support product integration, characterization, verification and validation.
• Communicate EO/IR concepts internally and to customers via presentations and documentation.
