Job summary

Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. is recruiting for a Program Manager in Santa Barbara, CA. The role leads cross‑functional teams to plan, schedule and budget multiple programs totaling $10–$15M in annual revenue.

Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to manage scope, risks, and customer relationships while coordinating with engineering, production, and suppliers. Requires a BS/BA in engineering or sciences (4–10 years) and experience with MS Project; ERP and accounting concepts

Qualifications

BA/BS Engineering or Sciences or equivalent experience (4–10 years).
Technical experience in optical or infrared sensors, optics, materials, systems engineering or electronics.
Experience managing complex programs across multiple disciplines (engineering, production, subcontractors, sales).
Familiarity with program management software (MS Project) and ERP/accounting concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

Generate and coordinate program plans, schedules and budgets for SBIR programs.
Provide leadership to engineering, design, and production teams for deliverables.
Manage scope, risks and changes; communicate with customer stakeholders.
Maintain program performance data, including ETCs and EACs, and provide monthly updates.
