Job summary

Raytheon in Goleta, California is seeking a senior systems engineer to lead EO/IR program execution, balancing cost, schedule, and technical performance. You will provide SE&TC leadership for IR FPA initiatives and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across Systems, Test, Software, Firmware, Mechanical, Electrical, and IC engineering.

The role involves risk management with the Program Chief Engineer, proposal inputs, and direct support for production and development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or advanced degree with 5+ years in STEM.
Experience with EO/IR subsystems design, analysis, development, troubleshooting, testing.
Knowledge of IR FPA technology and EO/IR applications.
Experience developing product specs and managing requirements across levels.
System design activities including trade studies and performance assessments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with PCE to deliver within cost, schedule, and performance.
Provide SE&TC leadership on EO/IR programs.
Work with multidisciplinary teams across systems, test, software, firmware, mechanical, electrical, and IC.
Actively manage risks and opportunities with the PCE.
Coordinate inputs for proposals and present bid summaries to management.
Lead technical support for production and development activities.
Oversee trade studies and present results to key stakeholders.
Communicate findings and strategic solutions to leadership and customers.
Lead team to identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues via data analysis.
Oversee/update requirements, concepts of operations, and system interfaces.
Plan, lead, and execute RCCA efforts.
