Job summary

Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. (SBIR), a HEICO subsidiary, seeks a Senior Manager of EO/IR Systems Engineering to lead the development of electro-optical test systems and guide a team of Systems Engineers.

The role focuses on defining system architecture, managing requirements, and advancing test methodologies for military, commercial, and research sensor systems. You will drive product integration, characterization, verification, and validation efforts while communicating complex EO/IR concepts

Qualifications

• Hands-on EO/IR system development experience and hardware sell-off in production environments.
• Experience with requirements/specification development and RVTM management.
• Experience across two of: system design, system analysis, or system integration and test.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and analyze electro-optical test systems as part of SBIR’s core product development.
• Lead a team of Systems Engineers and mentor junior staff.
• Support product integration, characterization, verification and validation.
