Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to promote, sell, and support IR and EO test products for defense, research, and industry customers.

You will handle pre- and post-sales activities, provide technical support, and build long-term customer relationships across a broad market. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in optical/camera test systems sales, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and a technical degree.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in sales or technical/engineering with optical/camera test systems.
• Able to manage a sales pipeline and drive opportunities.
• Strong consultative sales and technical support skills.
• Proactive account management, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
• Experience in optics, cameras, and test equipment preferred.
• Technical degree in engineering/optics/physics highly desired.
• Knowledge of photonics and IR cameras is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote, sell, and support all SBIR products including IR Cameras.
• Support IR cameras, electro-optic test equipment and test systems.
• Provide pre- and post-sales customer support, quotes, and visits.
• Develop relationships with defense, research, infrared sensing, and government bodies.
• Manage a sales pipeline from initial engagement through close.
• Occasional travel is required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
