Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Mason, OH is seeking a Specialist Systems Engineer to support our IR sensor programs, leading or contributing to technical planning, system integration, validation and verification across the lifecycle.

The role requires a degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Physics, or related engineering (or equivalent experience) and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; work is on-site with regular 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Physics, or related Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support technical planning, system integration, validation, and verification activities in support of programs and development efforts.
• Judgment and Decision Making — Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate solution.
• Systems Analysis — Determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes/performance.
• Systems Evaluation — Identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance relative to the goals of the system.
• Lead or support across system development lifecycle.
• Must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
