Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, EO/IR Systems Engineer (Top Secret Clearance) to provide mission engineering support for a Washington, DC area customer. On-site in Herndon, VA, with a 9/80 schedule and relocation assistance available.

The role requires deep knowledge of L3Harris systems and products, monitoring performance, and applying advanced engineering methods to solve complex spaceflight hardware problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or related scientific discipline with minimum 4 years of experience; Graduate Degree with 2+ years; or 8 years with no degree.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Minimum 2 years relevant systems engineering background.
• 2 years’ relevant experience with space or sensor systems technology design/integration/test.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Provide Mission Operations support for current L3Harris products.
• Develop and verify mission CONOPs and drive CONOPS to program execution.
• Coordinate with off-site factory support and on-site customers in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle on-call duties and occasional surge or shift work.
