Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – EO/IR Processing in Aurora, CO. You will design, develop, prototype, integrate, test, and assess RF/EO-IR signal processing algorithms and models used to extract and fuse sensor data for calibration, noise reduction, object detection, tracking, and classification.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience, with an active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience applying signal processing techniques in EO/IR or RF domains.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and object‑oriented programming.
• Experience designing, implementing, testing, and optimizing signal processing algorithms.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced signal processing to missile systems programs.
• Develop simulations for design, prototyping, and testing of algorithms.
• Test and validate sensor models against system requirements.
• Collaborate to integrate algorithms into hardware and live-fire testing.
• Participate in design reviews and mentor engineers.
