Job summary
The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Electro-Optical Infrared Design, Assembly, Integration, and Test Engineer (Level 3–5) for Huntington Beach or El Segundo, California. You will work within SMS/BTI to develop, assemble, integrate, and test EO/IR sensor systems for satellite and space applications.
Qualifications include a BS in Engineering, 5+ years of related work, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develops and validates requirements for communication, sensor, and electromagnetic systems.
- Develops electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic and mechanical systems.
- Creates architectures to integrate systems into higher level platforms.
- Performs trade studies, modeling, and simulations to optimize design.
- Defines and conducts tests to validate performance.
- Manages supplier/performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Provides lifecycle support including root-cause analysis and engineering input for projects.
- Writes sections of proposals to support new business.
