Job summary

Raytheon’s Mission Solutions & Payloads team in El Segundo, CA is seeking Systems Engineers to design and develop electro-optical payloads. You will contribute to requirements analysis, architecture development, and IV&V planning across the product lifecycle.

This onsite role involves lab and field testing, with opportunities to travel up to 25%. Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and 5+ years in EO/IR systems, with DoD clearance eligibility and strong MATLAB/MBSE skills to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 5+ years in EO/IR systems design and testing.
• Experience with space development program lifecycle events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PSR/CTS R).
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team environment interfacing with customers and partners.
• Develop and decompose system requirements and define interfaces.
• Support validation, verification planning, and test activities.
• Perform tests on optical/electrical components and analyze results to optimize performance.
• Document results through clear reports and briefings.
