Job summary

Allianz Commercial in the United States seeks an Environmental Executive Underwriter based in Colorado, Los Angeles, or San Francisco to grow our North American EIL book through strategic underwriting and broker partnerships.

You will mentor junior underwriters, develop new business opportunities, and collaborate with Risk Consultants, Claims, and Product Development to deliver innovative solutions while navigating global programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in environmental underwriting (experience with environmental consulting a plus).
• Ability to build and foster relationships internally across the organization and externally with broker partners.
• Outstanding technical skills with ability to analyze complex data / information from multiple sources.
• Ability to express ideas clearly, both written and verbally.
• Strong thought leadership skills with the ability to persuade and motivate others to act.
• Strong solution orientation and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Experience in applying AI/ML to improve business processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and servicing environmental accounts, negotiating terms with brokers while managing capacity and profitability.
• Drive marketing initiatives and build strong broker relationships with excellent service and technical support.
• Develop a pipeline of new business through active marketing, events, and broker reports.
• Execute on global programs by partnering with AzC colleagues across the globe.
• Develop creative solutions with Risk Consultants, Product Development and Claims.
• Lead key projects impacting EIL results.
