Job summary

Allianz Commercial is seeking an Environmental Underwriting Specialist in North America (remote/hybrid options) to grow the EIL book in the Northeast, supported by a collaborative team of underwriters and risk professionals. You will mentor junior staff and strengthen broker relationships while driving market growth and profitability.

The role requires 5+ years in environmental underwriting, strong data analysis, relationship-building, and the ability to collaborate across lines of business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of environmental underwriting experience (environmental consulting a plus).
• Ability to build relationships internally and with broker partners.
• Strong analytical skills with data from multiple sources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to persuade and motivate.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and service new and renewal environmental accounts, negotiating price, terms, and conditions.
• Drive marketing initiatives and build strong broker relationships through excellent service and technical knowledge.
• Develop a pipeline of new business through active marketing, events, and broker reports.
• Collaborate with AzC colleagues across the globe on global programs.
• Develop creative solutions with Risk Consultants, Product Development and Claims.
• Lead key projects that impact EIL results.
