Job summary

Allianz Commercial is seeking an Environmental Executive Underwriter to lead growth of the North American EIL book, focusing on site and contractors pollution. You will mentor junior underwriters and collaborate with Risk Consultants, Product Development and Claims to deliver innovative solutions.

The role involves marketing, complex program execution, and cross-border collaboration with AzC lines of business, while maintaining strong broker partnerships and profitability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in environmental underwriting.
• Ability to build and foster relationships internally across the organization and externally with broker partners.
• Outstanding technical skills with ability to analyze complex data / information from multiple sources.
• Ability to express ideas clearly, both written and verbally.
• Strong thought leadership with ability to persuade and motivate others to act.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with solution orientation.
• Experience applying AI/ML to improve business processes and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and servicing environmental accounts including negotiating price, terms and conditions with brokers; manage capacity, risk appetite and profitability.
• Drive marketing initiatives; build strong broker relationships with excellent service and technical support.
• Develop a pipeline of new business through active marketing, cross-sell, events, and broker reports.
• Collaborate with AzC colleagues across the globe on complex global programs.
• Develop creative solutions with Risk Consultants, Product Development and Claims.
• Lead key projects impacting EIL results.
